Leadership

Pastors & Staff

Dr. Adam Brewer

Lead Pastor

Adam has been serving as Lead Pastor of the Glory Fellowship Baptist Church family since September 2007.  His primary desire is to multiply committed and courageous followers of Christ who impact their communities. Preaching, leading small discipleship groups, and shepherding God’s people are some of his primary pastoral gifts and passions. His wife, Lindsay, is instrumental as an encourager and servant in our church family. They have two sons, Timothy and Nathan, whom Adam enjoys coaching in sports. Playing golf, spending time with family, and eagerly awaiting Alabama basketball’s first Final Four appearance are a few of his hobbies/interests. He desires to continually grow as a person and pastor, understanding the necessity of being an ever-maturing leader for others who are maturing in their faith. Adam has earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Auburn University of Montgomery, a Master of Divinity (M.Div.) from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry (D. Min) from Beeson Divinity School in Birmingham, AL. These educational pursuits have proved beneficial in leading God’s people.

Randy Stracner

Worship and Families Pastor

Randy serves as Worship and Families Pastor at Glory Fellowship. He previously served in public education as a teacher and coach. Randy and the Praise Team seek to lead the congregation into a passionate and intimate time of praise and worship each service. They want Glory Fellowship to be a place where people can experience a divine encounter with the Lord and have their hearts prepared to receive the teaching of the Word of God.
As Families Pastor, Randy seeks to serve the congregation by building and maintaining relationships within the church family. He has a desire to assist new families in being assimilated into the life of the church through various groups and ministries. Randy also has a desire to help connect members to ministries and service opportunities in which they are gifted and called.  He and his wife, Amy, have two children and now two grandchildren.

Philip Williams

Student Pastor

After 11 years in public education as a teacher and coach, Phil has been serving for the last four years as our student pastor. He and his wife, Megan, have 3 children. He has a heart to see students learn to take ownership of their own faith in Jesus. His hope is that as students grow in age, that they can rest in knowing that they have acquired a firm foundation in Jesus, one built on the truth of His Word and built on a relationship with him--a foundation that won't be swayed by the worries of this world. Phil has education degrees from the University of Alabama, the University of West Alabama and Jacksonville State University. He's currently working on a Master of Arts in Preaching at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.

Michelle Howell

Director of Children's Ministry

Michelle Howell has recently joined the staff as the Director of Children’s Ministry at Glory Fellowship Baptist Church. She has previously served as an administrator, teacher, coach, and athletic trainer within the public education system. Michelle is married to Buster Howell and they have two children, Japeth and Kylie. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, coaching youth sports, attending sporting events, animals, outdoors, and serving alongside her church family at Glory. Michelle desires to see the children in our community be given the opportunity to hear the gospel and experience a true encounter with Jesus Christ through solid biblical teaching. She also has a passion for providing training, support, and encouragement to families and adults raising and/or teaching our children, as they play a major role in the physical, emotional, and spiritual growth throughout one's critical developmental years.
