Established In Jasper
Founding of Glory Fellowship
Glory Fellowship Baptist Church was founded by a group of dedicated believers with a vision to establish a church that was not bound by tradition but focused solely on the truths of Scripture. The church held its very first meeting on May 18, 2003, in a simple setting affectionately known as “The Barn” at Faye Whittemore Farms. This humble beginning reflected the founders’ commitment to building a church centered on Jesus Christ and guided by God’s Word.
Inspired by a desire to glorify God in every aspect, the name “Glory Fellowship” was chosen to reflect the church’s purpose of honoring God in worship, discipleship, and community.
Early Growth and Relocations
Following its first services at “The Barn,” Glory Fellowship quickly grew, prompting the need for larger spaces. From June to December of 2003, the congregation met at Boldo Baptist Church. This period marked the beginning of the church’s journey in expanding its reach and strengthening its community bonds.
In January 2004, the church transitioned to Sherer Auditorium in downtown Jasper, where it held services for several years. During this time, the congregation continued to grow, drawing individuals and families who sought a Bible-centered community. Finally, on December 23, 2007, Glory Fellowship moved into its current home at 175 Cordova Cut Off Rd, a space that would allow the church to further its mission and accommodate a growing membership.
Establishing “Glory Land”
As Glory Fellowship settled into its new home, God continued to bless the church with resources and opportunities for expansion. The property, affectionately called “Glory Land,” has become a central part of the church’s mission and outreach. In 2016, the church added a two-story educational wing to support its growing ministries, providing dedicated spaces for children, youth, and adult discipleship.
In 2020, the second floor of this educational wing was completed to serve as a youth facility, further enhancing the church’s ability to nurture young believers. These developments reflect the church’s ongoing commitment to spiritual growth and creating a supportive environment for all ages.

Milestones and Ministry Expansion
Throughout the years, Glory Fellowship Baptist Church has marked many milestones in ministry and community outreach. Notable programs, such as Operation Thanksgiving, have become an integral part of the church’s mission, providing meals and fellowship to those in need within the Jasper community. In addition, Operation Christmas Child has allowed the church to connect with children worldwide, sending gifts and sharing the message of Christ’s love.
The church also supports international missions, actively engaging in projects that extend beyond local borders. These efforts highlight Glory Fellowship’s dedication to making a meaningful impact both locally and globally, as members live out their faith through service and outreach.
