At Glory Fellowship Baptist Church, our beliefs are more than statements—they’re the foundation of who we are. Every conviction is rooted in Scripture, shaping how we worship, how we live, and how we love others.
At Glory Fellowship Baptist Church, our beliefs are grounded in the eternal truths of the Bible. We are committed to a Bible-centered faith that guides our worship, our mission, and our daily lives. Each belief is based on scripture, helping us to grow in our understanding of God and His purpose for our lives.
We welcome you to explore these beliefs in greater depth. If you’d like to discuss any of our foundational beliefs or have questions about our mission, please feel free to contact us.
We believe in one true God, who exists eternally in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Each person of the Trinity embodies the fullness of God, sharing attributes of holiness, love, wisdom, and eternal presence. God is both our Creator and Sustainer, worthy of all worship, trust, and obedience.
The Bible
We believe that the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God and serves as the ultimate authority in faith and practice. It is God’s revelation of Himself, guiding us in truth and providing instruction for living a life that honors Him. Through the Bible, we find wisdom, direction, and the foundation for our beliefs and values.
Humanity
We believe that humanity was created in the image of God, designed for a relationship with Him. Through the disobedience of Adam and Eve, sin entered the world, breaking this relationship and impacting all creation. We affirm that every person is in need of redemption, and that God, in His love, offers salvation to restore us to our intended purpose and relationship with Him.
Salvation
We believe that salvation is a gift from God, offered freely through Jesus Christ. Through His life, death, and resurrection, Jesus provided the way for humanity’s redemption. Salvation is available to all who repent of their sins, place their faith in Christ, and accept His lordship. We affirm that salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, and is the foundation of our hope for eternal life.
The Church
We believe that the church is the body of Christ, composed of all believers who have accepted Jesus as their Savior. Our mission as the church is to worship God, grow in discipleship, and share the gospel with the world. We gather to strengthen one another, serve our community, and live out the love of Christ in unity and purpose.
Baptism and Communion
We believe that baptism and communion are vital practices for believers. Baptism, through immersion, symbolizes our faith in Christ and our commitment to live as His followers. Communion, also known as the Lord’s Supper, is a time to remember and honor Christ’s sacrifice, reflecting on His death and resurrection as the foundation of our salvation.
Resurrection and Eternal Life
We believe in the resurrection of Jesus Christ, affirming His victory over sin and death. We look forward to His return and the resurrection of all believers to eternal life in His presence. This hope of eternal life assures us of the fulfillment of God’s promises and motivates us to live in faithful service and anticipation.
Mission and Purpose
Our mission is to follow Christ’s command to make disciples and to love God and others with all our hearts. We are committed to living out God’s love by serving our community, sharing the gospel, and supporting one another in faith. Our purpose is to empower each person to grow closer to God and actively participate in His work, embodying Christ’s compassion and truth in everything we do.
